Book Review of
Colonial Law in America

By Robert M. Reed

Did you ever wonder what type of laws existed in Colonial America? This book is full of different facts that existed in the various colonies dealing with all kinds of situations. Some of the subjects covered include: adultery; babbling women; cursing; drunkenness; guns in church; idleness; Sabbath breakers; stealing, witchcraft and other topics. The reading is both quite horrifying and humorous. Some of the information sounds like living in a third world country. It makes you appreciate living in the current United States.

The 6” x 9” softbound book has 30 black and white post card photos that illustrate colonial areas. The book retails for $16.99 and has 128 pages.  It would make great reading for a history buff or just a humorous gift for someone looking for trivial information.
